Hi I'm Alia,
A professional belly dance performer/teacher with 20 years experience, deriving from an aerobic instructor & all dance background.
Initiating my belly dance career with The Belyssa Academy Of Danse Orientale Western Australia and then furthering studies through attending workshops with Hossam & Serena Ramzy, Mahmoud Reda, Ibrahim Farrah and Elias Nachef, just to mention a few.
The Desert Flame Dance Troupe was my home for a number of years as well as performing as a solo artist.
Currently I am in the never ending field of seeking new exciting movement & styles as well as refining traditional techniques with great respect to music and culture.
I have performed from Sydney to France, & Government House to camel Paddocks, Festivals, Haflas, Weddings, & Funerals.
Teaching Specialities: Classic Egyptian, Turkish, Cabaret Styles, Lebanese, Techno-Pop, Tribal Fusion, Veil, Cane, Zills, Swords & Balancing, Floor Work, Drum Classes For Children & Adults.
